This year we held a wonderful event called Clans and Surnames 2017 in the wonderful town o Nenagh at the GN Abbeycourt Hotel. It was ideal for researching Irish Family Roots. Nenagh is famed for its historic Heritage Centre, Franciscan Abbey, Friary Castle, Award Winning Eateries such as the Pepper Mill, Kenyan Street, Nenagh. Only a few minutes away is the breath taking scenery of both the Arra and Silvermines Mountains with easily accessible viewing points and the popular waters of Lough Derg.

We have a conference day for Family Historians, researchers and genealogists on May 19, 2018 in Laois. The conference will take place in Abbeyleix from May 18 - 20 and accommodation and conference package is available.The call for papers is now open and abstracts of 250 words need to be submitted to Irishroots@clansandsurnames.com
