We have opened the event again for 2018 and the coming year will see it take place May 14-18, 2018. There is a 10% concession rate for historical group members, cultural groups, over 55's, students and retired. The 10% concession rate is limited to 20 places so early booking is advised.The programme for 2018 can be viewed Clans and Surnames 2018. For 2018, we will have a full day field trip taking in Birr, Roscrea, Portumna Workhouse and Portumna Castle. This is a practice based genealogy event suited to those putting together family ancestry, genealogy projects and those interested in searching for Irish family roots. We offer a suitable package for a companion who did not take the programme should you wish to travel with same. There are ideal recreational activities available for companions in this beautiful area. The 'Clans and Surnames of Ireland Genealogy Programme  took place from May 15 - 19, 2017 at the Great National Abbeycourt Hotel in Nenagh, County Tipperary. Our programme included expert genealogy workshops, seminars, lectures, fieldtrips and valuable research advice for Irish family researchers.
